Junior Telecom Officers Govt Job In New Delhi

Qualification in Details:

  • Vacancy circular to fill up vacant posts of Junior Telecom Officer (JTO) in Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF), Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Sanchar Bhawan, New Delhi on deputation basis.
 
1. Eligibility: Officer working under the Central Government/State Government or their PS s/ Autonomous bodies. Holding analogous post of Junior Telecom Officer on regular basis in Central/State Government or their PSUs in pay scale of PB-2 with the grade pay of Rs. 4600/- on regular basis (as per 6 th CPC) 11. Holding JTO or analogous post in BSNL/MTNL/ITI/TCIL/ Any other PSU in the pay scale of 16400-40500 in current IDA scales on regular basis. Or 111. Holding a post in PB2 with GP of 4200 in CDA(6 th CPC) with minimum of 3 years of regular service or holding a post in the pre-revised pay scale of 13600-25420 in DA with minimum of 3 years of regular service in the grade.
 
2. Minimum Educational Qualification: 1. Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Technology or Equivalent in any one discipline among communications/ Telecommunications/ Electronics/Computer/ Radio/ Information Technlogy /Instrumentation/Engineering. 11. M.Sc./ Masters (Electronics /Telecommunication/ Computer/ IT/ Cyber Security /Physics) or Equivalent from recognized university.
 
3. Desirable Experience:
  • i. Working knowledge in computer using utility software such as MS Office/MS access/Linux/MS Excel/Power point presentation.
  • ii. Working experience in the field of Mobile communication, Switching, Transmission, administration, establishment .planning, project implementation
 
Age Limit: Maximum up to 56 Year

Officers who volunteer for the post will not be permitted to withdraw their names later. Delayed/ incomplete applications will be rejected summarily.

Overview Department Of Telecommunications

The Telecom Commission was set up by the Government of India vide the Resolution dated 11th April, 1989 with administrative and financial powers of the Government of India to deal with various aspects of Telecommunications. The Government, vide Resolution dated 22nd October,2018, has re-designated the 'Telecom Commission' as the 'Digital Communications Commission'.

The telecom services have been recognized the world-over as an important tool for socio economic development for a nation and hence telecom infrastructure is treated as a crucial factor to realize the socio-economic objectives in India. Accordingly, the Department of Telecom has been formulating developmental policies for the accelerated growth of the telecommunication services. The Department is also responsible for grant of licenses for various telecom services like Unified Access Service Internet and VSAT service. The Department is also responsible for frequency management in the field of radio communication in close coordination with the international bodies. It also enforces wireless regulatory measures by monitoring wireless transmission of all users in the country.
