About CBSE 

CBSE or Central Board of Seconary Education is a national level education board of India for both government and private schools. The board is managed and controlled by Union Government of India. All the schools affilaited to CBSE are required to follow the NCERT curriculum. There are both national as well as international schools affiliated to CBSE.
Affiliations of CBSE include all Central Schools, Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya, private schools and the schools which are approved by central government of India. The affiliation to CBSE is considered to be very prestigious and the schools should follow strict standards as laid down by CBSE. The curriculum followed by CBSE is universal and acceptable all over the world. CBSE is a self-financing establishment of the country. CBSE conducts final exams for class 10 and 12 in the month of March.
The results of the boards are announced in May. Other exams conducted by CBSE are NET, NEET, CTET, and entrance for Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalayas. The major objective of CBSE is to cater the educational needs of students whose parents have a transferable job around the country. The board covers both basic and general knowledge required for a child to move ahead in terms of education. 
 

Class 10 Result

The passing criteria for class 10 is 33% overall in order to get promoted to next grade. If the students do not pass in two subjects they are required to give a compartmental exam in July. If in case a student fails in compartment or in more than three subjects, he is required to give the exam next year. 
After passing 10th the students can choose Science, Arts, Commerce or the subject related to their interest.
 
The subjects covered in Arts Stream are: Political Science, English, Geography and History.
Subjects of Commerce include: Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Statistics and English.
Subjects of the Science stream include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, English or Hindi.
Humanities subjects are Political Science, Psychology, Geography, History, English, Sociology, Sanskrit, Fashion Studies and Hindi.
